Thermoplastic Polyurethane, TPU 40% Glass filled: Unfilled 6960/48 and 40% is 27000/186. Tensile Modulus is 21,800/150 and 45,0000/310. Flexural strength is 9860/68 to 36000 /248. Unlike most plastics TPU has an high Izod impact strength of 8 ft-ib/in or 427J/m. TPU is used in automotive, industrial and sporting goods applications.
Fiberglass studs are machined from pultruded fiberglass vinyl ester rods. The hex shaped nut is thermoplastic. They are easily assembled with a standard six point socket wrench. Fiberglass studs and hex nuts are available in diameters of 3/8", 1/2", 5/8" and 3/4". The studs and nuts have UV inhibitors to provide resistance to ultraviolet degradation and corrosion.
